The cyber cell of the Delhi Police has arrested a man from Jharkhand for allegeldy posting a fake schedule of 2019 Lok Sabha polls on his website.
The man identified as Gomunt Kumar had posted a state-wise election schedule for the upcoming general elections on his website - 'mytechbuzz', reports said.
According to news agency, the accused told the police that he had received the information on a Whatsapp group.
Kumar has been released on bail. His website mytechbuzz was inaccessible for further verification.

The election schedule is not due to be out for at least another month, when the EC will announce it in a press conference. Any early or inside information on this issue is highly unlikely.
Cyber security cells across India are working hard to ensure a free and fair elections as they predict rumours and fake news are set to pose the biggest challenge for the Election Commission as the body organises elections to biggest democracy in the world.
Several international cyber security experts have predicted that actors which attempted to influence elections in the United States and Phillipines are likely to attack India's polls as well.
