There is a reason why Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar's interaction with Prime Minister Narendra Modi last month was widely termed as a 'non-political interview'. They talked about mangoes, anger management and Yoga. But not even a single word on responsibilities -- Modi's as a prime minister and Kumar's as a citizen -- was exchanged.
And that might be the only reason Akshay Kumar did not absorb the political tenacity of the month(s).
Mumbai went to vote on April 29, and while many film stars went and cast their vote, Akshay did not.
Yes.
Akshay Kumar did not vote.
Now, many people did not. But when Akshay, the host and dost of PM Modi's, doesn't vote, it is NEWS. He is bound to get asked why he did not vote -- even when PM Modi, himself, has urged his Twitter audience to go and vote.
So, when Kumar was asked, the answer he gave made him the newest troll-victim on the block.
A video has gone viral -- in which the rich Bollywood actor is seen saying, "Chalo, chalo, beta" to the reporter who dared ask him the question.
The Twitter user is a scribe.
And oh wait! There was news agency ANI's mic too. But looks like the agency that promoted the interview forgot to upload this clip.
And as far as Akshay Kumar is concerned, Twitterati trolled him.
A Twitter user wrote: "In movies only his patriotism comes out but in reality he is money minded business guy he will do anything for money."
Meanwhile, Twinkle Khanna, Akshay's wife, voted. She shared her poll selfie on Instagram on Monday, saying 'Vote India Vote'.

People on Twitter questioned Akshay's absence then too.
