JEE Advanced 2021: Here are students, experts' reactions on IIT JEE entrance.
JEE Advanced 2021: The Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) Advanced 2021 has concluded on Sunday (October 3). The candidates who appeared in the IIT entrance said that paper 1 was moderate, but the Math section was tough. The candidates, however, reviewed the difficulty level of paper 2 as moderate.
The engineering entrance exams were held in two shifts -- paper 1 from 9 am to 12 pm and paper 2 from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. A total of 2.5 lakh students appeared in the JEE Advanced this year. The total duration of the JEE Advanced exam is three hours.
The JEE Advanced 2021 paper 2 consisted of a total of 57 questions with 19 questions in each subject. The Paper had three parts - Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. The maximum mark for each part was 60.

JEE Advanced 2021: Official answer key
IIT Kharagpur will also release the official answer key on October 10, at 10 am at jeeadv.ac.in. Candidates will be able to submit objections until October 11, and the result of the exam will be released on October 15.

According to students, the Physics section of JEE Advanced 2021 was easy to moderate, Chemistry was moderate but Maths was relatively difficult.

JEE Advanced 2021: Paper 1 analysis
Section 1 had Four questions in the MCQ pattern.
Section 2 consisted of six questions with three paragraphs. Based on each paragraph, there are two numerical value questions with answers correct to 2 decimal digits.
Section 3 had six questions again in MCQ format. Lastly, Section 4 consisted of three questions with integer-type answers, the answer of which was a positive number only.

The JEE Advanced 2021 paper 2 is going to start in 1 and a half hours at 2:30 pm. The examination will continue till 5:30 pm. Both the exams are of three hours in duration.

SC cease IIT students from appearing in JEE
Supreme Court Justice Bench upheld the validity of the condition that students who have already joined an IIT, cannot appear for the exam. This issue was raised after a petition was filed in Calcutta High Court after a student's application was rejected for JEE Advanced 2021. The ground for this rejection was that the student had already secured admission to IIT Kharagpur in 2020.

JEE Advanced 2021: Unofficial answer key
The JEE Advanced 2021 first paper is about to end. This shift started at 9 am and it will end at 12 pm. Once the JEE Advanced exam is over, many coaching institutes will release the memory-based answer keys for candidates. The official answer key, which will be used for the calculation of results, will be released later at jeeadv.ac.in.

JEE Advanced 2021: Important exam day tips
- Ensure to have a sound sleep for 6 to 7 hours the night before the exam day.
- Reach the examination centre well in time and follow all the guidelines already released by IIT for JEE Advanced 2021.
- Remain focussed and Don’t discuss anything with friends outside the exam centre.
- Read all the instructions in the question paper carefully before starting to answer.
- Solve the paper in two rounds. In the first round, start with the subject as per your comfort level attempting all easier and moderate level questions with not more than 45 minutes on each subject.

JEE Advanced 2021: Dress code
Candidates appearing for the JEE Advanced 2021 must wear simple clothing. They should avoid full sleeve shirts, shoes, or closed sandals. Wearing any kind of Jewellery including taveez or locket etc is also not allowed.

JEE Advanced 2021: Prohibited items
It is to be noted that candidates can not carry any electronic devices to the JEE Advanced 2021 exam centre such as-- mobile phones, smartwatches, health bands, smartphones, electronic pens, calculators, health and other gadgets to the exam hall. Slide rule, log table/book, any study material, abacus, geometry box/pouch/pencil box or scale.
