ICAI CA exam 2019: The Institute of Chartered Accountancy of India (ICAI) has postponed the Chartered Accountants examinations due to the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. The decision was announced by the ICAI on Monday at its official website www.icaiexam.icai.org.
The CA exams were scheduled to be held from May 2 to May 17 for Foundation Course, Intermediate Course and Final Course. Online registration for the exams will end tomorrow.
In an official release, the ICAI said, “It is hereby notified for general information that in view of Elections to the 17th Lok Sabha Parliamentary Constituencies across the country, spanning April-May, 2019, the Chartered Accountants Examinations initially scheduled from May 2, 2019 to May 17, 2019 stand rescheduled. The said examinations shall now be held from May 27, 2019 to June 12, 2019.”
Interested candidates can apply for the exams on the official website: www.icaiexam.icai.org. The application process will begin from February 20 and will conclude on March 12, 2019. The exams will be conducted in over 139 centres across the country.
Lok Sabha elections will begin on April 11 and polling would be held over seven phases through May 19, followed by counting of votes on May 23.
