The National Testing Agency (NTA) has started the Common University Entrance Tests, Undergraduate 2024 from today, May 15 at various exam centres, excluding Delhi. Recently, the NTA has made changes in the exam schedule of the Delhi Region due to unavoidable circumstances. The undergraduate entrance exam (CUET UG) is being conducted at various exam centers starting today.
The admit cards for the same are available on the official website. Candidates appearing for the CUET exams can download their hall tickets on the official website, exams.nta.ac.in. To download CUET UG 2024 admit cards, the candidates are advised to use their credentials such as roll number, date of birth and other details on the login page.

Why was CUET UG 2024 exam in Delhi postponed?
NTA has postponed the common university entrance tests for undergraduate admissions scheduled for May 15 to May 29 in all the regions of Delhi for “unavoidable reasons”. The test papers for Chemistry- 306, Biology- 304, English- 101 and General Test- 501 stand postponed for candidates across Delhi. As per the information shared by the testing agency, exams will be conducted as per schedule in all other cities across the country including Gurugram, Ghaziabad, Faridabad, and Noida, and abroad.
This year, the National Testing Agency is offering a hybrid mode of exams, with 15 subjects in pen and paper mode and 48 computer-based tests. The exams will be conducted in 380 cities nationwide, including 26 places outside of India. Over 13.4 lakh students have registered for the entrance test for admission in 261 central, state, private and deemed institutions for undergraduate courses.
Things not allowed inside the exam hall
Students appearing in the exams should be aware of the exam day guidelines provided by the testing agency. Items like any electronic gadgets or devices, purses and wallets, any blank white paper or notepad, jewelleries including necklaces, chains, earrings, bangles, nose pins, hair bands, etc. are strictly prohibited.
Dress Code:
- Light clothes with long sleeves are strictly prohibited
- Students arriving at the examination centre in their traditional attire should report at least one hour in advance of the last reporting time. It will allow for proper frisking procedures to take place without causing the applicants any inconvenience.
- Candidates are not allowed to wear shoes, only low-heeled slippers and sandals are accepted.
Guidelines for exam day:
- Applicants should carry all the required documents including valid ID and admit card.
- Applicants should arrive at the testing location one to two hours before the starting of the exam. No one will be permitted entry into the centre thirty minutes before the start of the exam.
- Candidates won’t be permitted to enter the test centre without the admit card.
- A compensation period of twenty minutes will be provided to the candidates having physical disabilities (PWD) for each hour.
