The Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) will be concluding the objection window for the Diploma Common Entrance Test (DCET) tomorrow, June 26, at 11:00 am. Candidates who are dissatisfied with any answer of the provisional answer key can raise objections from the official website, kea.kar.nic.in, before the deadline. Candidates will require their registration number and date of birth as login credentials to access and raise objections.

The provisional answer key was released by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) on June 24, using which the candidates can calculate their probable scores before the results are announced. The final answer key will be released after the objections are received from the candidates and reviewed by the authority. The authority is expected to release the final answer key and results soon and the date for the same will be notified on the official website, Candidates are advised to keep a check on the official website for any updates or notifications regarding the same.

Karnataka DCET: How to raise objections?

Candidates can follow the mentioned steps to raise objections against the answers of the provisional answer key:-

  • Visit the official website, kea.kar.nic.in.
  • Click on the link 'Karnataka DCET 2024 answer key' on the homepage.
  • A login window will appear on the screen.
  • Enter the required login credentials such as registration number and date of birth and click on 'Submit'.
  • The answer key will be displayed on the screen.
  • Click on the objection link for the provisional answer key.
  • Choose the answer key you want to object to and submit the required supporting documents.
  • Save and download for future reference.

Karnataka DCET: Exam Pattern

The Diploma Common Entrance Test is conducted for enrollment of eligible candidates into 2nd-year B.Tech courses and 1st-year B.Arch courses. This year, the Karnataka Diploma Common Entrance Test (DCET) was conducted on June 22 from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm, at multiple exam centres across the state. 

The exam consisted of 100 objective-type questions for 100 marks covering subjects like engineering mathematics, statistics and analytics, IT skills, fundamentals of electrical and electronic engineering, and project management skills. Candidates will receive one mark for each correct answer and no marks will be deducted for wrong responses or un-attempted questions.
