IIT JAM 2024 registration window: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Madras will close the registration window for IIT JAM 2024 today, October 25. All those who have yet not submitted their applications for the Joint admission test for master's can do so at the official web portal, jam.iitm.ac.in.
Candidates who are currently in their final year of undergraduate program or have completed their undergraduate degree are eligible to apply for the exam. Candidates can follow the easy steps given below to apply online.
How to register for IIT JAM 2024?
- Visit the official website of IIT JAM, jam.iitm.ac.in
- Click on the notification link that reads, 'IIT JAM 2024 registration'
- It will take you to the login window where you need to first register yourself
- After registration, the candidates are required to fill out the application form
- Upload essential documents, make a payment of the application fee
- Review the application form and click on the submit button
- Take a printout of the IIT JAM 2024 application form for future reference

Candidates belonging to the Female, SC, ST, PwD, categories are required to pay Rs. 900 for one paper and Rs. 1250 for two papers. While this amount is Rs. 1800 for the candidates belonging to other categories and Rs. 2500 for two papers. A fee of Rs. 300 will be charged for changing the exam cities, test papers, category, and gender in addition to any applicable application fee differences.

When will the exam be conducted?
JAM 2024 is a Computer Based Test (CBT) to be conducted in seven test papers at the undergraduate level. Test Papers will have three objective types of questions including Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ), Multiple Select Questions (MSQ) and Numerical Answer Type (NAT) Questions. Candidates qualifying in JAM 2024 are eligible to apply for admission to around 3000 seats in IITs for the academic year 2024-25.
