The National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to release the Common University Entrance Test Undergraduate (CUET UG) provisional answer key soon. Candidates will be able to check and download the provisional answer key once it is available on the official website, exams.nta.ac.in/CUET-UG. Candidates will require their application number, date of birth, or password to access the provisional answer key. Candidates can also know their possible score in the entrance examination with the help of the provisional answer key.
The National Testing Agency will also open the objection window along with the release of the provisional answer key. The objection window will be kept open for a few days so that candidates who are not satisfied with any answer can raise objections against that answer key. The candidates will be required to pay a non-refundable amount for each question they will be raising objections for.
This year, the CUET UG examination was held on May 15, 16, 17, 18, 21, 22, 24 and 29. It was conducted in various exam centres located in 379 cities across the nation and 26 cities outside of India, in a hybrid mode i.e. in computer-based test and pen-and-paper mode. Around 15 lakh candidates appeared for the examination.
CUET UG 2024: Steps to download the provisional answer key
Candidates can follow the mentioned steps to download the answer key once it's available on the official website:-
- Visit the official website- exams.nta.ac.in/CUET-UG.
- On the homepage, click on the link 'Challenge of provisional answer key, display of scanned images of OMR Answer Sheet and display of recorded response for CUET'.
- A new page will open. Enter all the required login details and click on 'Submit'.
- The provisional answer key will be displayed on the screen.
- Save and download it for future reference.

CUET UG 2024: How to object to the provisional answer key?
If the candidates find any discrepancies with the answers provided in the CUET UG provisional answer key, they can raise an objection until the window is open. Candidates can follow the mentioned steps to challenge the provisional answer key:-
- Visit the official website, exams.nta.ac.in/CUET-UG.
- Click on the tab 'Click here to Answer Key Challenge'.
- The login window will open. Enter all the login details like application number, date of birth, or password.
- Click on 'View Question Papers' to see the question papers.
- The question ID and correction option ID will be displayed on the screen.
- Select the option ID, which you want to object by clicking on the check box.
- Submit the required supporting documents and save the options by clicking on "Save Your Claim" and proceed with the fee payment.
- Candidates will be required to pay Rs. 200 for challenging a single question. Make payment through Credit Card/ Debit Card/ Net Banking/Paytm.
