NEET 2018: Chemistry and Biology moderate, Physics tough, students say

While students found Physics tough and lengthy, they said that the Chemistry and Biology sections were comparitively simple and direct.

NEET 2018: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Sunday conducted the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET). A one stop gateway to prestigious medical colleges in the country, the competitive exam conducted by CBSE is for aspirants seeking admission to undergraduate MBBS and BDS courses across India.  

While students found Physics moderate and lengthy, they said that the Chemistry and Biology sections were comparatively simple and direct. 

The NEET 2018 test consisted of one paper in all languages notified by Central Board Secondary Education (CBSE). It contained 180 objective type questions from Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany & Zoology). 

NEET 2018: Here's how students reacted

Aakanksha, a student, rated Chemistry as the easiest of all. Another student said that while Chemistry and Biology ranged from easy to moderate, Physics section was really tough. A third student found the numerical based questions tough as compared to last year's question paper. 

NEET 2018: About CBSE NEET

As per regulations framed under the Indian Medical Council Act-1956 as amended in 2018 and the Dentists Act-1948 as amended in 2018, National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (UG), 2018 (NEET-UG-2018) was conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), for admission to MBBS/BDS Courses in India in Medical/Dental Colleges run with the approval of Medical Council of India/Dental Council of India under the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India except for the institutions established through an Act of Parliament i.e. AIIMS and JIPMER Puducherry.

The NEET (UG), 2018 was conducted on Sunday, the 6th May, 2018. The responsibility of the CBSE is limited to the conduct of the entrance examination, declaration of result and providing All India Rank to the Directorate General Health Services, Government of India for the conduct of counselling for 15% All India Quota Seats and for supplying the result to state/other Counselling Authorities.
