JEE Main Result 2018: ​The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Monday declared the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2018 results late evening. The JEE Main Result 2018 results were announced on the official website jeemain.nic.in.

7:20 pm: Out of 11,35,084 students who registered, 2,31,024 have qualified.

6:05 pm: The results are expected to be out soon on the official website.

6:00 pm: The official website for JEE Main Result 2018 has not declared the results yet. The wait continues. 

5:45 pm: The results are expected to be announced by 6 pm. 

5:35 pm: Many on the social media claim that the JEE Main Result 2018  results have been announced. However, students are requested to only go by the official website 

5:30 pm:  Students who waiting for the JEE Main 2018 result with bated breath should keep checking this space for latest updates. 

5:24 pm: Even though the JEE Main Result 2018 was expected to be declared early in the morning on Monday, it has not been announced yet.

5:16 pm: JEE Main Result 2018 is going to be the first CBSE result to be declared. It is expected to be out shortly.

5:10 pm: Candidates are requested to not panic in case the official website slows down due to multiple-logins.

5:00 pm: The JEE Main Result 2018 is expected to be declared at 6 pm today. 

JEE Main Result 2018: Steps to check your result

Step 1: Log on to any one of the official websites – jeemain.nic.in, cbseresults.nic.in or results.nic.in

Step 2:On the homepage, find and click the link for JEE Mains 2018 Results. 

Step 3:. On the result page, enter your application number, date of birth and the security pin as provided in the image and click on submit, and submit.

Step 4: The result will be displayed on the screen. Download and take a printout of your JEE Main 2018 result for future reference.

Students will be ranked on the basis of their JEE Mains 2018 score and there will be no weightage for Class 12 marks like last year. The Board had released the answer keys for Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) 2018 on April 24. 

The registration process for JEE Advanced 2018 will begin on May 2 and the exam will be held on May 20. 

The Board will announce the score for Paper 1, students’ ranks as well as the list of top 22,000 candidates eligible for JEE Advanced. This is the first CBSE exam result to be declared this year. 

The results of the JEE Advanced decides on the admission of candidates to IITs, NITs, IIITs and other institutions.  

Around 14 lakh students took the JEE Main exam this year to pursue higher education in technical courses. This year, the Computer-Based Mode (Online) Examination was conducted on April 15 and 16, while the offline paper was conducted on April 8.
