Swati Maliwal case highlights: Delhi Police, FSL team leave CM's residence after conducting investigation
Swati Maliwal assault case highlights: The Delhi Police has swung into action after the complaint by Swati Maliwal on her alleged assault. The police have constituted teams to arrest Arvind Kejriwal's PA who is accused of beating Maliwal at the Chief Minister's residence.
Swati Maliwal assault case updates: AAP MP Swati Maliwal has filed an FIR alleging that she was brutally assaulted by Bibhav Kumar, the personal assistant to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, at the CM's official residence on May 13. Maliwal claims Kumar attacked her with full force, slapping and kicking her multiple times. Despite her pleas that she was menstruating and in pain, Kumar allegedly did not stop.
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has dismissed Maliwal's allegations as "baseless," asserting that she is being used as a tool in a BJP conspiracy to frame Kejriwal. Senior AAP leader Atishi alleged that Maliwal reached the CM's residence without an appointment, intending to level false accusations against Kejriwal. Atishi further claimed that a video shows Maliwal comfortably sitting and threatening security staff, contradicting her assault claims.
Delhi Police have taken Maliwal to the CM's residence to recreate the crime scene and have recorded her statement before a magistrate. They have collected footage from eight CCTV cameras and recorded statements from security personnel present during the incident.

Congress leader Alka Lamba calls for judiciary's decision
Amidst the ongoing discourse surrounding the Swati Maliwal case, Congress leader Alka Lamba has urged for reliance on the judicial process to determine the case's merits. Lamba's statement underscores the significance of refraining from forming opinions solely based on public discourse.
Lamba emphasises the importance of allowing the judiciary to independently assess the case, highlighting the need to avoid preconceived notions influenced by external narratives.
“We should let the judiciary decide the merit of this case; it is better not to form an opinion based on what is being said anywhere. Swati Maliwal is a strong woman and even her party leaders have accepted that wrong has been done to her. Interestingly, BJP has come forward to seek justice for her. The NCW never sent notice to Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh or Prajwal Revanna, but they have sent notice in this case. I am pretty sure justice will be served to her,” says Congress leader Alka Lamba.
