PAC Jawan commits suicide at Delhi's UP Bhawan, probe underway
As per the preliminary investigation, the jawan belonged to the Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC) of the Uttar Pradesh Police and was deployed in the security team of UP Bhawan.
A police jawan allegedly shot himself dead with his service weapon at Uttar Pradesh (UP) Bhawan in New Delhi on Friday. According to the preliminary investigation, the jawan belonged to the Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC) of the Uttar Pradesh Police and was deployed in the security team of UP Bhawan.
Probe underway
The investigation is underway and police is trying to find the reason behind this extreme step. An FIR has been lodged and the Delhi police is conducting the probe.
CISF jawan committed suicide
Earlier this month, a 32-year-old Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) jawan killed himself with his service weapon at the Surat International Airport. As per the police, CISF personnel Kisan Singh committed suicide in the washroom of the airport around 2:10 pm.
The deceased, identified as Kishan Singh, joined CISF in 2015 as Assistant Sub-Inspector. He was promoted to the post of Sub-Inspector in 2022. He was on duty at Surat Airport for the last one year. Earlier he was posted at Mumbai Airport.
NV Bharwad, inspector of Dumas police station said he shot himself in the stomach. The investigation is underway in this case.
