North East Delhi Election Results 2024: North East Delhi is one of the Lok Sabha constituencies in Delhi. The state has 7 parliamentary seats. The North East Delhi seat comprises ten Assembly segments including Burari, Timarpur, Seema Puri, Rohtas Nagar, Seelampur, Ghonda, Babarpur, Gokalpur, Mustafabad and Karawal Nagar. The constituency is a general seat and not reserved for Scheduled Castes (SCs) and Scheduled Tribes (STs). ELECTION COVERAGE

North East Delhi Lok Sabha Elections 2024: Date of polls

The North East Delhi constituency in Delhi went to polls in the sixth phase on May 25 along with the other six Lok Sabha constituencies of the state. Overall, voters in 58 constituencies of 8 states and Union Territories across the country used their franchise in the sixth phase.

According to the Election Commission, a voter turnout of 62.89 per cent was recorded in the North East Delhi Constituency.

The results of the North East Delhi constituency in Delhi were out on June 4 along with the other 542 parliamentary constituencies of the country.  

North East Delhi Lok Sabha Elections 2024: Main parties and candidates

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), the Congress and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) are the main parties in the constituency. BJP leader Manoj Tiwari and Congress leader Kanhaiya Kumar were the main candidates in North East Delhi constituency of Delhi. 

Notably, the Congress-AAP are contesting the Lok Sabha elections in Delhi in alliance. The AAP contested on four seats while three were allotted to Congress. The four seats on which AAP contested the Lok Sabha polls were New Delhi, West Delhi, South Delhi, and East Delhi. The Congress' seat were North West Delhi, North East Delhi and Chandni Chowk seats.

North East Delhi Lok Sabha Elections 2014 and 2019

In the 2019 Lok Sabha Elections, Manoj Tiwari from BJP won the seat with a margin of 366,102 votes. Manoj Tiwari was polled 787,799 votes with a vote share of 54.00 per cent and defeated Sheila Dikshit from Congress who got 421,697 votes (28.83 per cent). 

In the 2014 Lok Sabha Elections, Manoj Tiwari from BJP won the seat and was polled 596,125 votes with a vote share of 45.23 per cent. AAP candidate Anand Kumar got 452,041 votes (34.30 per cent) and was the runner-up. Manoj Tiwari defeated Anand Kumar by a margin of 144,084 votes.
