A massive fire broke out at a car accessories factory in Delhi's Mundka area on Saturday afternoon, prompting a swift response from emergency services.

The officials said the accident occurred around 4:30 p.m. at the car accessory factory near Metro Pillar No. 610 in the Mundka industrial area, and it quickly spread, affecting two adjacent factories and necessitating the deployment of 26 fire tenders to the scene.

Speaking of the incident, Vedpal Chhikara of the Delhi Fire Services said, "Delhi Fire Services got a call at 4:30 pm... The fire had spread to two factories. The fire is under control, and the cooling process is underway. There have not been any injuries. 26–27 fire tenders are working."

Meanwhile, innovative methods were employed in today's firefighting efforts, including the use of robots to help extinguish the blaze and helping firefighters manage the situation more effectively and safely.

Further, it is pertinent to note that today's accident comes mere a month after two factories in Delhi's Mundka area were engulfed in fire.

Likewise, in today's incident, the blaze first broke out at one factory and later spread to two adjacent factories.

Significantly, several factories and industrial buildings are located in Mundka, which makes it prone to major accidents and mishaps.
