Delhi: Man sets himself on fire near Parliament, two-page suicide note found

Suicide near Parliament: The man has been admitted to a hospital in Delhi and has suffered 90 per cent burn injuries.

Suicide near Parliament: A man has tried to commit suicide by setting himself on fire near Parliament, according to the Delhi Police. Upon receiving information about the incident, the police rushed to the scene and took the injured person to the hospital.  He is currently admitted to the RML Hospital. 

90% burn injuries 

According to the reports, the man identified as Jitendra, a resident of Uttar Pradesh's Bagpat, has 90 per cent on his body.  The police have also found a diary and a two-page suicide note from the incident site. 

Case of personal enmity 

 According to the information received so far, the case of the person is probably related to personal enmity in Baghpat. 

"Today one person probably Jitendra of Uttar Pradesh's Bagpat set himself on fire in roundabout rail Bhavan. The local police and railway police along with some civil persons immediately extinguished the fire and the person was sent to hospital. The issue as we can decipher is probably related and personal enmity in Bagpat. Further investigation is on," said police.

DCP Devesh Kumar Mahla said, "Today a man named Jitendra, a resident of Baghpat in UP, tried to commit suicide at Rail Bhawan roundabout. The police constables along with some civilians immediately extinguished the fire. Investigation so far has revealed that he is in trouble due to some case registered against him in Baghpat, Uttar Pradesh. No suicide note has been found as of now. He has been sent to the hospital. Further investigation is underway."
