Delhi: 24-year-old woman killed, several injured in cylinder blast in Krishan Vihar

A devastating LPG cylinder blast in Delhi’s Krishan Vihar resulted in the death of a 24-year-old woman and severe injuries to another. The explosion caused part of a two-story house to collapse. Fire services responded quickly to the scene, and authorities are investigating the cause.

A devastating LPG cylinder blast occurred in the Q-Block area near RD Public School, Krishan Vihar, Delhi. The explosion caused the collapse of half of a two-story house (G+1 floor). The blast resulted in the death of a 24-year-old woman, identified as Rajni, who was killed instantly. Another woman sustained severe burn injuries and was rushed to the hospital.

Two fire tenders from Delhi Fire Service were immediately dispatched to the scene. Authorities are investigating the cause of the blast.

"A call of a cylinder blast was received from Q-Block, near RD Public School, Krishan Vihar. Two fire tenders were sent to the spot. There was a blast in an LPG cylinder," Delhi Fire Service said in a statement.

On arrival, the DFS confirmed that Rajni, 24, was trapped under the debris and pronounced him dead on arrival at the Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital. Another woman, 20-year-old Renu, suffered burn injuries and is currently receiving treatment for 18 per cent burns. He took the job for about three hours. Police are investigating the cause of the explosion.

Bhalswa dairy: Teenager stabbed to death

In another incident at Bhalswa dairy, a 17-year-old boy, Afrid, was stabbed to death on Friday evening. A passerby found him lying in a pool of blood and he was rushed to hospital but was pronounced dead from multiple stab wounds.

Police are analyzing CCTV footage and suspect personal enmity could be the motive. An FIR has been registered, and investigations are on.
