BJP releases list of 40-star campaigners for Delhi Lok Sabha elections

The list includes prominent leaders such as Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP President JP Nadda, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Home Minister Amit Shah, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, Arvinder Singh Lovely, and several others.

Ahead of the Lok Sabha elections in Delhi, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has unveiled its list of star campaigners, featuring top leaders including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP chief JP Nadda, and Union ministers Rajnath Singh and Amit Shah. Arvinder Singh Lovely, who recently switched allegiance from the Congress to the BJP, finds a place among the 40 star campaigners released by Arun Singh, the BJP's national general secretary.

Key figures from BJP-ruled states included

Chief Ministers of BJP-ruled states such as Yogi Adityanath from Uttar Pradesh, Mohan Yadav from Madhya Pradesh, Pushkar Singh Dhami from Uttarakhand, Bhajan Lal Sharma from Rajasthan, Himanta Biswa Sarma from Assam, and Nayab Singh Saini from Haryana are also featured as star campaigners.

Notable ex-MPs included despite denied tickets

Outgoing MPs who were not given party tickets this time, including Harsh Vardhan, Meenakshi Lekhi, Parvesh Verma, Ramesh Bidhuri, and Gautam Gambhir, are also part of the star campaigners list.

Prominent union ministers and leaders listed

Union ministers Piyush Goyal, Hardeep Singh Puri, Smriti Irani, and Arjun Ram Meghawal, along with incumbent MP Hema Malini, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, and other senior leaders, are enlisted as star campaigners.

Wide array of leaders to campaign in Delhi

The list also included senior leaders such as Arun Singh, Tarun Chugh, Anil Baluni, and Manjinder Singh Sirsa, among others, who will actively campaign in Delhi.

AAP-Congress combine pose competition

In Delhi, the BJP is set to contest all seven Lok Sabha seats, facing tough competition from the AAP-Congress alliance.

Key dates for polling

The nomination filing process concluded on Monday, with scrutiny of nomination papers scheduled for Tuesday. The last date for withdrawing candidature is May 9, and Delhi goes to the polls on May 25.
