A woman died and another sustained injuries after a massive fire broke out at a residential apartment in Sector 10, Dwarka, Delhi on Wednesday. The fire has now been doused with the help of six fire tenders, said the officials.
The fire broke out on the fourth floor of the Pacific Society, near Ayushman Hospital in Dwarka Sector-10.
"Two women jumped from the 4th floor and were rushed to Ayushman Hospital by PCR where one of them was declared brought dead by MO on duty," the officials said.
The deceased has been identified as Jasuli Devi (83) while the injured Pooja Pant (30) is addmitted to the hopsital.
They said soon after receiving information regarding a fire incident in Sector 10, Dwarka four fire tenders rushed to the sport. They doused the fire before it could spread to other flats.
There was no report of any injury, the officials said.
It is reported that fire was in domestic articles at two flats (each 3 BHK) on the 4th floor and on the 5th floor.
