Unidentified bags were placed near Shram Shakti Bhavan, Kashmere Gate, Red Fort as well as in Sarita Vihar.

Delhi Police on Tuesday received calls of unidentified bags found in various places across the national capital ahead of Independence Day.

Several unidentified bags were placed across various locations in the national capital. These areas included Shram Shakti Bhavan, Kashmere Gate, Red Fort as well as Sarita Vihar.

Although police have informed that nothing suspicious was found in the bag planted near Shram Shakti Bhavan. It was later found to belong to an electrician and the bag was handed over to him, a senior police official said. The official said the bag contained tools used in electrical works.

The information about these bombs created a stir in the police department. However, after some time it was learned that all are bogus calls. 

Police opened traffic near Shram Shakti Bhavan after investigation did not reveal anything suspicious.
