Chinese national arrested for illegally staying in India
Delhi Police arrested Yu Jia, a Chinese national, for illegally residing in India after his visa expired. The arrest took place in the Shakarpur area, and an FIR has been registered against him.
Delhi Police on Saturday (July 13) informed that they have registered a first information report against a Chinese national who was found illegally living in India after his visa expired.
The police said the accused has been identified as Yu Jia, who was arrested earlier today from Delhi's Shakarpur area for illegally residing in India.
"Delhi Police arrested a Chinese national identified as Yu Jia who was illegally living in Delhi's Shakarpur area after his visa had expired. During an investigation, it was found that he has been living in India since 2019. An FIR has been registered," the police informed in a release.
Accused says, suffering from HIV
Meanwhile, the police said the accused, during an investigation, claimed he is suffering from HIV and is currently undergoing treatment at a hospital in India.
"We have already informed the Foreigners Regional Registration Officer for further proceedings," the Delhi Police added.
