Minister Atishi orders investigation
Delhi government minister Atishi Singh announced the incident on social media, calling for a magisterial inquiry into the incident. She emphasized that those responsible would be held accountable. Atishi stated, "A tragic incident due to heavy rain in Delhi has been reported. Water has filled the basement of a coaching institute in Rajendra Nagar. The Delhi Fire Department and NDRF are on-site. A magisterial inquiry has been ordered to determine how this happened. Those responsible will not be spared."

This incident is unfortunate and tragic. The responsibility for this incident must be determined, and those guilty of negligence must be punished."
BJP leaders blame AAP government
Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva and MP Bansuri Swaraj visited the accident site and blamed the AAP government for the incident. Sachdeva stated, "This incident occurred due to the failure to clean the drains, causing water to backflow rapidly into the coaching center's basement. The criminal negligence of the Delhi government is responsible for this accident. Water Board Minister Atishi and local MLA Durgesh Pathak should take responsibility and resign."
Police appeal for cooperation
Delhi Police have appealed to the public not to obstruct the rescue operations, stating, "Due to waterlogging, the basement is filled with water. Rescue and search operations are ongoing, but it is taking time to drain the water. A female body has been recovered so far. We request the public not to obstruct the rescue efforts."
