A fire broke out at a residential building in south Delhi's Shahpur Jat area on Tuesday. According to the Delhi Fire Services officials, the fire erupted following an explosion in two gas cylinders in south Delhi and no casualties were reported.
The fire brigade officials said they received a call at 5.16 am regarding a fire in a residential building in the Shahpur Jat area.
"After the call, three fire tenders were rushed to the spot to douse the flames," an official of the DFS said.
The fire broke out after two gas cylinders exploded, they said.
Fire at Income Tax office in Delhi
In a similar incident, a fire incident took place at the Income Tax office located in Delhi, triggering an emergency response from firefighting authorities on Tuesday noon. As the situation unfolds, 10 fire tenders have been dispatched to the scene to combat the flames.
Fire at shop in Delhi's Jama Masjid area
Earlier on Sunday, a shop in Kinari Bazaar near north Delhi's Jama Masjid area caught fire, creating chaos in the area.
The Delhi Fire Services officials said "We received a call regarding the fire at 1.08 pm. Four fire tenders were pressed into service. We have informed the local police about the matter for further investigation."
No casualties were reported in the incident, they added.
