A massive fire broke out at four tent godowns in Delhi's Jaunapur area on Tuesday morning. Following the fire, a huge cloud of smoke covered the area. Four cars parked adjacent to the godowns also caught fire. After getting the information, the Delhi Fire Services dispatched 10 fire tenders to the site. The dousing operation is underway.
Earlier on Sunday, a fire broke out in a scrap warehouse in Delhi's Karala area, said an official. Providing details about the incident, the Delhi Fire Service's Assistant Divisional Officer (ADO) said, "The fire incident took place in the Karala area that falls in the Rohini sub-division. We received information about the fire around 8:45 pm on Saturday."
"After receiving the information, 12 fire tenders arrived at the spot. The fire erupted and spread out in the warehouse, burning piles of waste material, including car seat cut material and shoe stuff," added the official. The official further said that the fire had spread out in the open area surrounding the warehouse, The warehouse is spread over 1 acre. "There is no possibility of casualties in the incident and none such has been reported as yet. Fire officials are on the spot. We will have controlled the blaze by 5 or 6 am," said the ADO.
Moreover, at around 9:30 am on Thursday, a fire broke out in a plastic factory in Delhi's Mayapuri area, officials said. According to the DFS, plastic material, which was kept inside the factory, was completely destroyed in the blaze. Upon receiving information, four fire tenders were rushed to the spot and started an operation to douse the fire. After an hour, fire service staff and officials brought the fire under control. No casualties or injuries were reported, officials said.
