Atishi's cabinet ministers Saurabh Bharadwaj, Gopal Rai, others take oath in Delhi | LIVE

Saurabh Bharadwaj has been given the responsibility of 8 departments, along with Health, Urban Development, and Social Welfare.

Atishi has been sworn in as the eighth Chief Minister of Delhi, inheriting a total of 13 departments, including education, finance, and power. Saurabh Bharadwaj has been allocated health and urban development, while Gopal Rai oversees environment-related portfolios. Kailash Gahlot is responsible for transport, and Imran Hussain manages food supply and election duties. Mukesh Ahlawat has been appointed as the SC/ST minister along with additional responsibilities.

After taking oath as the new Delhi Chief Minister, Atishi held a press conference on Saturday. She said her only job is to make Arvind Kejriwal Delhi CM again. Hitting out at the BJP, Atishi said, "The BJP central government conspired against Arvind Kejriwal, kept him in jail for 6 months, tried to break him but the Supreme Court not only acquitted him but also said that ED and CBI have become parrots of the Centre." 

BJP MP Manoj Tiwari extended his congratulations to Atishi on her appointment as the Chief Minister of Delhi, expressing hopes that she would address the city's pressing issues. He criticised former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's administration for its focus on "political games," which he claims harmed Delhi.

Tiwari urged Atishi to take immediate action on several matters, including:

1. The reinstatement of the Sarai policy and compensation for rental losses.
2. The need for permanent structures in schools to ensure safety and quality, particularly concerning the PWD’s infrastructure.

He also appealed for a reduction in electricity and water tariffs, highlighting the financial burden on residents, especially the poor and middle-class. Tiwari expressed optimism that Atishi, as the third female CM of Delhi, would swiftly address these concerns, emphasising the BJP's support for her initiatives for the city’s development.

Delhi MLA Gopal Rai emphasised the need to elevate the initiatives started under Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's leadership ahead of the next elections. In a statement after taking his oath as a minister, Rai highlighted the importance of teamwork in tackling pollution, particularly during the winter months. He also committed to addressing other pending tasks, reaffirming the Aam Aadmi Party's dedication to improving the capital's environment and governance.

Following his induction into the Delhi cabinet, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Kailash Gahlot expressed his gratitude and commitment to public service. He emphasized the importance of Arvind Kejriwal’s guidance as the party's national convenor.

Gahlot stated, "Our only goal is to continue working for the people of Delhi, as we have done in the past, and to bring back Arvind Kejriwal." His remarks reflect a strong dedication to maintaining the party's mission and serving the citizens of Delhi effectively.

AAP MLA Mukesh Ahlawat was sworn in as a minister in the Delhi government, led by Chief Minister Atishi. The ceremony took place today, marking Ahlawat's formal entry into the cabinet. 

AAP MLA Imran Hussain has officially taken oath as a minister in the Delhi government, which is now led by Chief Minister Atishi. Hussain, a key member of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), has been appointed to the cabinet following a reshuffle in the Delhi government. 

In a key political development, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Kailash Gahlot took the oath as a minister in the Delhi government led by Chief Minister Atishi. The swearing-in ceremony marks Gahlot's continued role in the state cabinet, as he takes charge of significant portfolios under Atishi's leadership. 

Gahlot has been a prominent figure within the AAP and has previously held important portfolios, contributing to various developmental projects in Delhi. 

Atishi was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Delhi during a live ceremony, with Saurabh Bharadwaj taking the oath as a minister in her cabinet. The oath ceremony marks a notable moment in Delhi's political landscape, with Atishi taking the helm of the capital’s leadership.

Atishi and Arvind Kejriwal were spotted arriving at LG House together, traveling in the same vehicle. 

In a recent statement, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Dilip Pandey accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of misusing government agencies to target AAP leaders. He claimed that when the BJP failed to "buy" AAP, they resorted to baseless allegations, resulting in the imprisonment of party members.

"The entire country has seen how the BJP tried to discredit AAP leaders when they couldn't coerce or buy them. Delhi's people have rejected BJP three times, leading the party to harbor hatred against AAP. Fortunately, the courts delivered justice, exposing the BJP's false accusations," Pandey said.

Pandey praised AAP's commitment to clean politics, calling it a historical example of honesty. He further highlighted how Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal chose to resign from his position until the public rendered its judgment on his integrity.

"The public court will convene tomorrow at 12 PM, and the people of Delhi will be there to declare that my Kejriwal is honest," he added.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, former Deputy CM Manish Sisodia, and AAP leader Pankaj Gupta are set to attend Atishi's oath-taking ceremony. Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, AAP MP Sanjay Singh, and Sandeep Pathak, however, will not be present in Delhi for the event. Atishi is expected to arrive at the CM residence shortly for the formal proceedings.
