A bomb scare was reported in Nangloi, Delhi, after a suspicious bag was discovered on a DTC cluster bus. According to Delhi Police, a call was received about the suspicious bag, prompting an immediate investigation. They said that upon inspection at the site, an object resembling a timer bomb was found inside the bag. Meanwhile, the authorities informed that a bomb squad was deployed to the incident site.
"As of now, nothing suspicious has been found. Some material with wires wrapped around it was found in the bus, however, further probe is underway," officials said.
"On examination, it was found that suspect device were circuit boards wrapped up in black paper and no explosive could be traced. However, further examination is being carried out through FSL and NSG teams. It's an apparent case of mistaken identity. However, the immediate action by alert conductor and driver is appreciated in view of public safety. Further, immediate action by Police, Fire and Bomb squad of Delhi police showed excellent response time and professional handling of situation," the police said.
