Panic ensued aboard a Delhi-Vadodara Air India flight at the IGI airport in the national capital after a crew member spotted a tissue paper with the word "bomb" written on it in the aircraft's washroom. According to the police, the flight underwent a thorough search after the note was found but nothing suspicious was found.

The aircraft was ready for take-off when the crew member spotted the tissue paper at 7 pm, a police officer said. He further stated that the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) and the Delhi Police were informed and passengers were asked to deboard the flight. The aircraft was checked thoroughly but nothing was found, he said, adding that the passengers later departed for their destination on another aircraft.

Bomb threats to 7 Delhi hospitals

This comes two days after seven Delhi hospitals and Tihar Jail received bomb threats by email on Tuesday. While the Delhi Fire Service (DFS) said that they received bomb threat calls from four hospitals, the Delhi Police said that they received calls from seven hospitals and Tihar Jail. According to police, the emails were sent from 'beeble.com', a Europe-based mailing service company, with the same content sent to hospitals on Sunday.

Bomb threats to 20 hospitals, IGI Airport

Before this on May 12, as many as twenty hospitals, the IGI Airport and the Northern Railways' CPRO office in Delhi received bomb threats through emails, 11 days after similar messages to more than 150 schools in Delhi-NCR sparked a scare of unprecedented scale. While threats to schools were received from a Russia-based mailing service, Sunday's threats to hospitals and two other installations were received from a Europe-based mailing service company 'beeble.com', officials said.

According to a police officer, the e-mail was sent to one hospital with copies marked to others with the same content, an officer said. The officer said it was generated from sender id "courtgroup03@beeble.com", which is being verified and cyber officials are trying to locate the IP address.
