In an exclusive interaction with India TV, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal refrained from commenting on Swati Maliwal's alleged assault case, stating that the matter is currently sub-judice. During the conversation, Kejriwal emphasised that he was not present at the scene of the assault, distancing himself from the incident.
He stated, "Whoever is right, the decision should be in favor of that. I don't want to comment on this... since it is sub-judice. I will wait for the court's order... have trust in court, whatever it will say, we will accept it."
Kejriwal claims framing in false cases
In an exclusive interview with India TV, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal stated that he has been falsely implicated in cases. He accused the BJP government of dismantling the country’s constitutional institutions and exerting pressure on the judiciary. Kejriwal asserted that he is prepared to govern from jail and will seek legal recourse.
Targeting PM Modi
Kejriwal criticised Prime Minister Narendra Narendra Modi, expressing gratitude to the Supreme Court for allowing him to campaign. He warned that if Modi's government is re-elected, democracy in India would be endangered. Kejriwal claimed that there is no evidence in the alleged Delhi liquor scam, noting that even Modi had admitted to lacking proof, which led to the derogatory remark of “cunning thief” against him.
Concerns over 2024 elections
Responding to a question from India TV, Kejriwal predicted that if Modi wins the 2024 elections, all opposition leaders, including Rahul Gandhi and Stalin, would be imprisoned.
Addressing speculations
On being asked about speculations, Kejriwal confirmed that Raghav Chadha will remain an MP, denying any intentions to send his lawyer to the Rajya Sabha. He refrained from commenting on the Swati Maliwal case, citing its sub judice status.
Claims of internal BJP politics
Kejriwal alleged that PM Modi is sidelining his party leaders to clear the path for Amit Shah, mentioning leaders like Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Raman Singh, and Vasundhara Raje Scindia. He also predicted that Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath might be sidelined within the next two months.
