In Noida district of Uttar Pradesh, a woman was allegedly raped by a YouTuber. The accused’s YouTube channel has over 2 lakh subscribers.
By using a video that he had made, the accused also allegedly blackmailed the woman and was asking for Rs 2 lakh, said the cops.
On Tuesday evening, the girl’s parents approached the police to lodge a complaint against the accused. As per the reports, the victim was allegedly approached by the YouTuber as she used to comment on his YouTube videos. The man allegedly promised her a job.
He allegedly raped her and made an objectionable video, said the complaint. Cops are trying to track the accused and are taking help from the call details.
An FIR was filed under IPC section 376 (rape) against the man on the basis of the complaint by the girl’s parents, said the cops. Further investigation was underway.
