Following an argument, a 25-year-old money collection agent was shot at thrice by a customer's son in Rohini's Aman Vihar area on Saturday.
According to the police report, the man had gone to collect the monthly installment of Rs 1,400 on Saturday, from the customer whose two sons got into an argument with him.
During the argument, one of the sons shot the man three times, after which, he was rushed to Baba Saheb Ambedkar hospital. The treatment is underway and his condition is said to be critical.
A case was registered and efforts are being made to nab the accused, a senior police officer said. Police are trying to trace the suspects who are currently absconding.
The victim, Shubham, works for a private insurance company based in Delhi's Shadipur, a senior police officer said.
A crime and forensics team was also rushed to the spot, they said, adding they are also checking CCTV footage to establish the sequence of events.
