'Ladies wear short dresses to get raped': Delhi woman rants and asks men to rape women in a restaurant
Video of the incident has gone viral. Group of girls which the woman "wanted raped" cornered the woman demanding an apolgy on camera.
In a country like India, where women get raped every hour, the focus is often not on the rapist, but on what the woman was wearing.
It does not matter if a two-year-old girl child gets raped or an 80-year-old woman in a saree becomes a victim of sexual violence, women are almost always "asking for it" in the eyes of our patriarchal society.
"All these ladies were shorter dresses or [go] naked to [get] raped."
These misogynistic, patriarchal, non-sensical and horrific words were hurled at a group of young women not by a man but a middle-aged woman.
A deeply disturbing video is being shared on social media. The video shows a middle-aged woman repeated suggesting that rapes occur because of clothes a woman wears.
So what about infants getting raped? Or old women? Are they in any way asking for it?
Such rapes are caused by a different "psyche", the woman says.
In the video, the group of girls are furious, they demand an apology from the woman who they say openly asked men on the streets to rape them.

It's mind-numbing to encounter the same questions again and again.
Why do we consider certain type of sexual violence as "legitimate rape"? Why do we first need to be approached by gay men to understand what is consent? Why is there always a clamour about "misuse" of laws that seek to empower women? Have we viciated the atmosphere so much that even a woman can justify rape and actively ask men to rape women in the vicinity?
