Delhi: Woman abused by cabby after she asks him to lower windows; driver arrested
The girl was returning from Bangkok with her mother. The taxi, hired from IGI airport, did not have an air-conditioning system.
Rude taxi driver is someone we've all met at least once. Many a times its about the fare or rash driving. But lowering windows? That shouldn't be an issue right? Wrong.
A taxi driver abused a girl in New Delhi after she told him to lower the windows of his taxi. She was returning from Bangkok with her mother. The girl hired the taxi at Terminal 3 of India Gandhi International Airport (IGI).
The taxi the girl hired did not have an AC. The driver had closed all the windows of the car. When the girl told him to lower the windows, a heated conversation followed. The driver rudely refused to lower the windows and told her that she should have hired an air-conditioned taxi if she wanted an AC. The girl reportedly tried to reason with him but he continued his rude behaviour.
At this time, the driver received a call from his friend. As he spoke on call, the driver used bad words and verbally abused the girl. She then lodged a complaint with the police.
The driver, by the name Raju, has been identified and arrested by the police.
