A couple of days ago, Supreme Court announced short-term ban on firecracker sale in Delhi-NCR, citing last year’s choking pollution. Many celebrities including Sonam Kapoor and Masaba Gupta came out in the support of SC’s move. But not all can think as rationally as they do. Many people on Twitterati went berserk, criticising Supreme Court’s selective ban on Hindu festival only. Debates after debates, but SC is resolute on its decision. Masaba Gupta, who’s an ace designer in the industry, supports the move, but in turn she gets mercilessly trolled on Twitter. Some even went to an extent of calling her an ‘illegitimate child’.
Today, Shraddha Kapoor posts a video on her social media accounts supporting the ‘Firecracker free diwali’. The actress has nowhere mentioned her support to the ‘firecrackers ban’ but her message is clear. The video also features her dog, which signifies that the actress wanted to go up against crackers for the sake of animals. But netizen took her video in a completely different direction. In no time, her post was jam-packed with hundreds of trolls, slamming for being a ‘hypocrite’.
Some irrational users proudly claimed that they will burst even more crackers this year, after all the festival falls only ‘once in the year’.
Faltu h Hum to daba k patake phode ge saal m ek bar to atta hai #Diwali
Other slammed the actress for being using AC's and cars, and contributing to the pollution.
