Call it impossible or impractical but this Hawaiian man has defeated death three times in less than four years. This Colorado man, Dylan McWilliams, was bitten by a shark last Thursday while bodyboarding in Kauai, Hawaii.
It was his good luck that the man survived this third attack by an animal. Dylan recalls while talking to Honolulu Star-Advertiser newspaper that it was crazy. He doesn't feel that he is lucky, but the man definitely gets lucky in unlucky situations.
Hawaiian man survives shark attack after being mauled by bear, bitten by snake
The man was knocked off from his board by the water current only 30 yards from the shore when he felt extreme pain in one his legs. Then he saw blood in the water. Obviously his first reaction was to panic. He was not even sure if he lost half of his leg or not. Later when he looked down, he realized that a 6-8 foot long striped shark, probably tiger shark, was swimming underneath him.
The moment he saw danger, he started kicking the mammal and swan to the shore. This is not the first time that Dylan McWillaims has met eye to eye with death. In a span of less than 4 years, the man has been mauled by a bear and bitten by a rattle snake.
Well, all these dangers are just part of his high on adventure life. Dylan is an outdoor enthusiast and has been exploring the US and Canada for the past few years. He funds his travels by doing odd jobs like being the survival training instructor
