After their magnificent wax statues at Madame Tussauds, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been immortalized into the life-sized cake by the phenomenal cake artist Lara Mason. The cake has turned out to be so perfect that the moment Ms Mason posted this tribute to the Royal Wedding on social media, it became the talk of the town.

As it is evident from the video posted on her Facebook account, Ms Mason used frames to create the giant Prince Harry-Meghan Markle cake. The lady recollects that she used a custom image clicked during their first appearance as an engaged couple to create the structure of the cake and then did all the minute details of the face and hair with special cake tools.

It took her nearly 250 hours to create the special cake using icing and chocolate, in which the sponge of the cake is made up of approximately 300 eggs, 15 kgs of butter and 15 kgs of flour. After the sponge layers were added, she covered it with nearly 50 kgs of icing. Except for the frame, everything on the cake is edible.

According to Huffington Post, Ms Mason is a customer service employee based out of the United Kingdom. She pursues cake-making as a hobby and has been crafting creative cakes for about six years.

Lara Mason says that she hasn’t made this cake just as a tribute to the Royal wedding but also to inspire people to take the art of sugarcraft to another level. The royal wedding-themed cake is meant to be displayed at cake decorating show Cake International at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham, reports Huffington Post.

In just a few hours, the video of the painstaking process behind the cake garnered positive reactions. "Absolutely brilliant!! I've seen a few wedding cakes over the years, this beats them all, well done," one Facebook user commented. Another said, "When the cake looks more like Meghan than the Madame Tussauds wax figure."
