New Delhi: The CCTV footage of robbers looting the State Bank of India branch in Lucknow in broad daylight has emerged.
The incident happened on Saturday afternoon at around 1 pm at Sarai Sheikh branch located in Chinhat area of Lucknow. As per media reports, three men barged inside the bank, snatched the rifle from security guard Shravan Singh and shot him dead. After that they held people hostage and ran away with money close to Rs 80,000.
“After shooting the security guard, the robbers held the bank officials and customers present in the bank, hostage at gun point and made away with cash worth Rs 80,000 from bank employees,” sources said.
Such a fearless attack from robbers in broad daylight has undoubtedly shown a bad picture of law and order in the state. Let's just hope the police administration wakes up after this big incident.
