Some people think there are no secrets left on earth, but little to their knowledge, our planet is none less than a chamber of secrets. It is difficult to believe but there are many places on earth which are still cut off and isolated from the rest of the world. Moreover, there are also some species which are still unknown to mankind.

Melville Range, Australia

Biologist found a rain forest perched on a giant boulder plateau on Cape York Peninsula in Queensland part of north-eastern Australia in 2013. The place is accessible only by helicopters. 

In this area scientist discover a host mass strange species that can only be found like this place, a species of leaf tailed Gecko.

Sima Humboldt, Venezuela

Sima Humboldt & Sima Martel are two huge sink holes that were discovered in 1961. This sink hole is like a lost world which embedded into other. Local people consider this as mystical and evil place.  It is located on the Sarisarinama Tepui, a remote 11,500 ft tall mountain who already known to host singular species. Sima humbolt is so large that it has it own eco system at the bottom. The biologist found an impressive number of plant species that were new to science.

East Scotia Ridge, Southern Ocean

At a depth of 2400 meters in southern oceans lies a unique aquatic biotope found in 2012. This place is warmed by hydrothermal vents reaching up to temp of 382 °C (719 °F). Massive colonies of unknown species have been found thriving in the hot and dark environment.

 

Scientists have discovered a huge no of new albino spices like the ‘Unidentified octopus' or a Yeti lobster,

 

Yeti Lobster is an amazing crab that seems to use its hair to grow bacteria allowing it to detoxify the poisonous water.

Palawan Highlands, Philippines

A team of botanists found a strange flora cloistered at the very top of Mount Victoria and Mount Sagpaw, during a 2007 expedition in an isolate area of the Palawan Island in the Philippines. Like the remains of another world, scientist observed exotic species that cannot be seen anywhere else. Similar to a previously unknown carnivorous pitcher plant so big it feeds on rodents and even small monkeys.

There are also some amazing ferns and blue mushrooms that couldn't be identified yet.

Bosavi Crater, Papua New Guinea

A 3,000ft deep hollow space was recently found to be the home of an eco system isolated place in the world. The cone of the volcano collapsed during its last eruption around 200,000 years ago.
It was investigated in 2009 by an expedition of scientist filmed by a BBC crew for the documentary “lost land of the volcano”. It discovered more than 40 unknown species,

like this giant RAT measuring up to 82CM (32IN) in length.


Movile Cave, Romania

Movile Cave was accidently discovered near malinglia in 1986 after digging about 30 meters deep to build a geothermal power station. The movile cave was revealed to be a place completely sealed underground for the past 5.5million years.

The scientists who were sent down were stunned to find a ground water ecosystem deprived of light and oxygen. After millions of years trapped in the dark and toxic world, mutated forms insects appeared again in the day light. 


Mount Roraima, Venezuela, Brazil, Guyana

Mount Roraima is a 2 billion years old formation that marks the border between Venezuela, Brazil and Guyana. The tableland is hard area to reach because of the huge steep sides, which excited many adventures in past. Mount Roaraima is 2,800 metre high place (9,200feet) was described as “some strange country with nightmares”, thriving with unique species in it. It evolves in an unearthly landscape where it rains almost every day of the year.

 

Challenger Deep, Western Pacific

Challenger Deep is 2,550 Kilometres long and 69 kilometres average width. It contains the deepest known points on earth. But it has also known for its strange ecosystem which can not be seen anywhere else in oceans, compose of unusual vents expelling liquid carbon dioxide. Its environment hosts some remarkable life forms adapted to pressure 1,000 times that at sea level, like a giant Amoeba.

Usually microscopic single celled organisms that were found to measure up to 10CM in the trench. The trench has only been visited on four rare occasions and it has become one of the most mysterious and unreached spot in whole world.

 

Son Doong Cave, Vietnam

Son Doong Cave was found in 1991 by a local man deep into the vast and dense jungle of the Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park, Vietnam. It was unknown even from other locals who avoided the area because of the loud sounds and roars coming from the cave. It was founded first time in 2009, the place was revealed to hide the biggest known cave in the world. Son Doong Cave is 650ft wide and 500ft tall.  The cave is so massive that it has its own weather system and even own inner forest and vast flowing rivers.

 

Lake Vostok, Antarctica

Lake Vostok is one of the largest lakes in the world; it is about the extent of Lake Ontario, but twice as deep. It has been sealed off from the rest of world under 2.5 miles of ice for 15 million years. As scientist brought the sample from Lake vostok they found variety of life with unknown DNA thriving in the lake.
