New Delhi: People often suffer rejection at a job interview and many a times it’s because their resumes are clustered and poorly written.
However, Sumukh Mehta, a 21-year-old man from Bengaluru, managed to get himself hired by GQ magazine’s London headquarters, purely on the basis of his resume.
The company’s management found Sumukh’s resume so creative that they hired him for a work placement experience without an interview.
Sumukh, who is a graduate from College of Management Studies, Jain University, made a GQ-style “20-page magazine resume” for the marketing team. The company found his attempt not just unique but also an unforgettable one.
Sukhum's resume
Sumukh’s resume resembles the layout of a magazine – a cover page, table of contents and a special editor’s note. He also discussed his educational qualification, hobbies and experience in his 20-page resume.
“A 20 page magazine resume which managed to impress the Editor-in-Chief of British GQ, Mr Dylan Jones who has offered me to work at their London Headquarters without an interview process. It took me more than 3 weeks to make this resume including the photo shoots, graphic designing and content writing,” he wrote on Facebook, sharing pages of his resume.
