New Delhi: If everyone remembered their Ps & Qs, the world would be a more polite place to live in.

One that would be much less frustrating if people just remembered to say “sorry” when they hit you with their elbow for the third time.

Staff at a noble coffee shop seem to have had enough of rude customers and is attempting to make their hometown a more courteous place, with an offer inviting enough to make any rude caffeine seeker act appropriately.

The sign reads:

"Small coffee $5"

"Small coffee, please $3"

"Hello, one small coffee please $ 1.75"

Basically, if you're rude they are going to up charge you on your cup of caffeine, and if you're sweet and polite you'll get your coffee that's as cheap as chips!

This picture of their sign has received over one million views on Imgur after it was posted by a local, but, surprisingly, it has left users with mixed opinions.

While some thought it was a great idea, others were actually saddened by the fact that people still need to be reminded to say“please”.

One noted: “It’s pretty sad that we have to offer monetary incentives to get people to use common courtesy and manners.”

Meanwhile, the picture left others speculating just how polite you would have to be to get your morning coffee for free!
One user commented: ‘Hello, may I have one small coffee pretty please, with a cherry on top? FREE COFFEE.’

Well, at least the sign seems to be having some sort of effect – even if it’s not as heartfelt as it should be.
