Maruti Suzuki, the pioneer in India’s personal transport industry, on Tuesday said its all-new Dzire has achieved ‘fastest 1-lakh sales’ mark in the Indian automobile industry.
According to the company, the third generation Dzire, launched in May 2017, has surpassed the 1-lakh sales milestone in just five-and-a-half months.
The auto manufacturer attributed the healthy sales growth to the sedan's "style and looks; the reliable and efficient Maruti Suzuki brand name and exciting new features in the car like the SmartPlay infotainment and the auto gear shift".
The sedan's diesel variant delivers a fuel economy of 28.4 km per litre, while petrol fuel efficiency is 22 km per litre.
Meanwhile, the New Delhi headquartered company has for the first time in a decade managed to strengthened its leadership credentials with five of its top-selling models monopolizing the domestic leader-board.
