New Delhi: Xolo has launched a new budget smartphone, the Q1020, at Rs 11,499. The device is now listed on the company's website; however, there is no information on its availability.
Xolo Q1020 is a dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) device featuring a 5-inch (720x1280 pixels) HD IPS display with scratch resistant Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection and a pixel density of 294ppi. The handset is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6582 processor that's coupled with a Mali 450 GPU, and 1GB of RAM. It runs Android 4.4 Kitkat.
The highlight of Xolo Q1020 is the wooden finish at the sides which makes the handset stand out from others. Xolo Q1020 also features HotKnot file transfer technology, which is similar to near field communications (NFC) in terms of application. MediaTek had back in March announced the proximity pairing technology.
Internal storage includes 8GB which can be expanded via microSD card (up to 32GB). It features a 13-megapixel rear camera with Exmor RS sensor, LED flash, and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. The Xolo Q1020's rear camera features scene detection, Panaroma, geo-tagging, best shot, smile shot, and HDR options.
Connectivity options include 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Micro-USB, A-GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, and FM radio. The handset gets its juice from a 2100mAh battery that is rated to deliver up to 13 hours (approximately) of talk time on 3G and up to 454 hours of standby time on 2G. It is available in Black and White colours.
