Weekly smartphone launches: iPhone 5S, 5C, Xolo A 600 (November 4)

New Delhi: It was an eventful week in terms of smartphone launches in the country. The most significant was, of course, the launch of the much-awaited iPhone 5S. The iPhone 5S and 5C has already become the best launch ever for Apple, with the company selling a record-breaking nine million units in just three days of its first phase of global launch on September 20.Here is the list of latest smartphones launches in India this week: iPhone 5S, 5CThere is a strong demand for Apple products in mostly all major world markets. On November 1, Apple formally launched iPhone 5S and 5C in India with price starting from Rs 41,900. Apple is selling 16 GB iPhone 5c at Rs 41,900 and 32 GB variant at Rs 53,500. iPhone 5s is available at Rs 53,500 (16GB), Rs 63,500 (32 GB) and Rs 71,500 (64 GB). Unsurprisingly, Apple completely sold out its 5S model in India in less than 24 hours of its retail launch, while the iPhone 5C too become a hot selling model. RCom is selling the smartphones in a two-year contract for up to Rs 2,999 per month, heralding a new trend of bundling high-end devices with mobile connection in the industry. RCom is offering only the 16 GB models at zero down payment. A customer would have to pay a down payment of Rs 11,600 for 32 GB iPhone 5c, and Rs 10,992 and Rs 19,992 down payment for 32 GB and 64GB iPhone 5s models respectively.the operator said. Bharti Airtel is also selling iPhone 5s and 5c but it is not offering any bundled offer. Customers can, however, avail a discount of up to 50 per cent on monthly rentals. Xolo A600Xolo has launched yet another affordable smartphone A 600 for a price tag of Rs 8199. The A600 comes with a 4.5-inch qHD display and is powered by 1.3GHz dual-core processor. The phone also comes with 512MB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage, 5MP rear camera, VGA front camera, and 1900 mAh battery.It has a 5-megapixel auto focus rear camera with LED Flash and a 0.3-megapixel (VGA) front-facing camera. It is 9mm thick and packs a 1900 mAh battery. The A600 ccompetes against the likes of Zen Ultrafone 502 qHD, Intex Aqua N2, iBall Andi 4.5z and Panasonic T31.iBall Andi 4Di+iBall has launched Andi 4Di+ , successor of the Andri 4Di. The phone comes with a 4-inch (480×800 pixels) capacitive touch screen display and is powered by a 1.3 GHz dual-core Cortex A7 processor. It runs on Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean). The device sports 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 0.3-megapixel (VGA) front-facing camera. It has dual SIM support with dual standby similar to other iBall Andi smartphones and packs a 1700 mAh battery. It has Flip to Mute and Auto Call Recording features. It comes with a price tag of Rs 6399. Lava Iris 503 and Iris 352e Lava has launched two new smartphones, dubbed Iris 503 and Iris 352e, in the Iris series. The Iris 503 is the successor of the Iris 502. It comes with a 5.0-inch (960 x 540 pixels) capacitive touch screen display and is powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor. On the other hand, the entry-level 2G smartphone, Iris 352e comes with a 3.5 inch (320 x 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen display and is powered by a 1 GHz dual-core processor. Both these phones run on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) and offer dual SIM support with dual standby.
