Mumbai, Sep 26: Volkswagen launched its next generation SUV Touareg on Wednesday at a starting price of Rs 58.5 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The SUV will be available in a diesel variant with automatic transmission.
The new Touareg is 41mm longer, 12 mm wider than its previous version. The SUV boasts of bi xenon headlights with LED daytime running lights and a panoramic sunroof.
Touareg comes equipeed with a 3 litre V6 TDI engine that delivers a maximum power of 245PS@3800-4400rpm, the company claims. Touareg has a mileage of 12.08 kmpl, the company said.
The new Touareg has '14 way' electrically adjustable front seats and two piece front center armrest with movable with storage compartment. It comes packed with safety features such as Electronic Stability Control (ESP), ABS with brake assistant and driver & passenger airbags.
The SUV will be available in 7 colours: Pure White, Deep Black, Cool Silver metallic, Night Blue metallic, Graciosa Brown metallic, Galapagos anthracite metallic and Campanella White. Sales for the new Touareg will start from the end of September.
