New Delhi: Karbonn Mobiles will soon introduce its next mid-range smartphone in India, called the Titanium S5+. However, the phone is already up for grabs on online retailers like Saholic for Rs 10,990. The Karbonn Titanium S5+ is the successor to the Titanium S5 which was launched in March this year.
The Karbonn Titanium S5+ features a 5-inch qHD OneCell IPS display offering a resolution of 960 x 540 pixels. It is a dual-SIM device (GSM+GSM) which runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.
The Titanium S5+ is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor (unspecified chipset) along with 1GB of RAM. It sports an 8-megapixel rear autofocus camera with LED flash, apart from a VGA front-facing camera. It comes with 4GB of inbuilt storage which is further expandable up to 32GB via microSD card.
Connectivity options include 3G, Wi-Fi (b/g/n), Bluetooth with A2DP and GPS with A-GPS. This dual SIM handset gets power from 1800 mAh removable battery.
Last week the company released Canvas HD A116i, a re-hashed variant of its flagship model - Canvas HD A116.
Early verdict:
On paper, the handset offers great specs. The 5-inch display is impressive and so is the powerful quad-core processor. The RAM is also significant. Overall, it seems to be a decent buy at this point.
