New Delhi: Karbonn Mobiles is a joint venture between Delhi-based Jaina group and UTL. In a short period of time, the company has emerged as a prominent player in the domestic smartphone market by combining perfectly premium hardware, latest technology and an affordable price. As per a report by IDC, in Q3 of 2013, Karbonn was the third major smartphone player in India with a market share of around 11 per cent.
And if latest numbers are to go by, local powerhouses Micromax and Karbonn are fast catching up to Samsung in India. Experts say, a right marketing strategy, effective after sales service and of course, the right product mix, is contributing majorly to the handset maker's growth.
