To tap the emerging business opportunities in digital technology, Tech Mahindra Ltd. is looking to build more technology development facilities in United States and Canada. The move is likely to boost local hiring in these two countries.
C.P. Gurnani, CEO Tech Mahindra Ltd said in an interview the company is investing heavily in building local delivery centres in the United States and in Canada, and has opened two in Canada and six in the United States over a period of the past six or seven months.
The company is also looking to hire about 100 people in each quarter in US.
India boasts of a $150 billion IT outsourcing Industry and most of its facilities in India use a large pool of qualified, cheaper workforce to provide services to clients in the United States and Europe.
