New Delhi: E-retailers are gearing up for the festival season with Snapdeal unveiling its Diwali sale with 'Electronics Monday' today. Offers up to 70% are being provided in various categories including clothes, footwear, electronics,luggage and others.
The e-reatil site is offering upto 50% discount in electronics category whereas home and living category will have discounts upto 40%. Fashion category though has whopping discounts ranging from 40% to 70%.
E-retail giant Amazon too will start their 'Great Indian Festive Sale' from October 13-17.Flipkart will start their five-day 'Big Billion Days' sale from Tuesday, October 13-17 where discounts will go up to 60% on its products.
According to the reports, e-retailers make an average of 10-15% as the commission from the overall sales. Flipkart is looking to sell goods worth over Rs 3,000 crore in these five days, reports an English daily.
Eyeing the festive season, Flipkart rivals, Amazon, Snapdeal, and Paytm have their respective plans in place. To lure customers, Snapdeal launched its Instant Refunds facility on September 11, which aims to refund customers within an hour of the company receiving a returned product. This announcement came around 12 days after Flipkart announced the launch of its own instant refund mechanism. The Flipkart facility will help in refunding customers within 24 hours of returning a product.
