New Delhi: To make shopping fun and easy on millions of Android phones, Shop Pirate, a deals and couponing platform owned by Hyderabad-based Snippets IT Solutions Pvt Ltd, has come out with an Android app.

The app is available for free download on the Google Play store, making deals and coupons accessible for on-the-go shoppers.

Shop Pirate offers users coupons and deals on the web, mobile apps as well as on browser add-ons. The company claims that the site offers over 5,000 active deals from over 500 national and international stores including Myntra, Jabong, FirstCry, Flipkart, eBay, redBus, Amazon, Expedia, Dominos and Yatra. These deals cater to various segments like gadgets, apparels, travel, food items and software.

“The "Shop Pirate Coupons" Android App is fast, easy and smart way to save time and money from the stores you love to shop. It's easy, go to your favorite store, select the coupon you like and copy the coupon code. This takes you to the store site where you can paste the copied code at the checkout,” the description of the app at Google Play Store reads.

Shop Pirate claims the application has already crossed 1 lakh downloads on iOS and Windows platforms, and they are expecting a similar response from Android users as well.

The app comes with an easy-to-use user-interface where users can easily search for a product of their choice. After completing the signup, users will get notifications once the latest deals and coupons for their favourite store are available.

Shop Pirate, which raised Rs 50 lakh (around $80,000) in June this year, will use the fresh capital to set up offices in the US and Canada by next year.

The startup was founded in 2013 by Kulpreet Kaur and Suresh Kumar. Kaur holds an MBA Degree from Osmania University in Hyderabad. Earlier, she was chief operating officer at IBEE Solutions. Kumar comes with over 10 years experience in performance marketing.
