New Delhi: Samsung's uniquely-shaped Gear Circle, a Bluetooth Stereo headset, is now available in India at Rs 5,990. The headset alongside the Samsung Gear S smartwatch were announced back in August. The device is available through the Samsung India eStore.
Design-wise Samsung Gear Circle resembles a lot like the LG Tone Infinim as it is worn around the neck. The device looks stylish and comes with a minimalistic design. When not in use, the earbuds magnetically attach to each other creating a circular necklace-style and can also vibrate to notify you for incoming calls and notifications.
The earbuds weigh just 28 grams and have a P2i nano coating making it splash-resistant.
Since they are Bluetooth-enabled so there is no need to connect them physically to a smartphone or device. The headset supports Bluetooth 3.0 with apt-X to pair with smartphones and uses a Magnetic Sensor (Hall IC) and Touch sensor. There is a multiple Point connection that facilitates connecting two devices simultaneously and it lets users to connect up to eight different Bluetooth devices.
The device allows you to make and receive calls, listen to music and send voice commands.
It has got a 180 mAh battery, which is chargeable via microUSB port built-in. The company claims the battery can offers up to 9 hours of music playback or around 11 hours of talk time. The Gear Manager application is available for download which allows you to adjust settings and notifications. There's also an option to adjust the audio output through the built-in SoundAlive equalizer.
While the Gear Circle will work best with a Samsung device, it's also compatible with many other smartphones and tablets which support Bluetooth 3.0 and above.
