New Delhi: Samsung has launched its premium mid-range smartphone, the Galaxy A7, in India at Rs 30,499. The phone is available online at the company's official India e-Store in white, gold and black colours.
Galaxy A7 is Samsung's thinnest smartphone till date with a 6.3mm thick chassis. The device features a large, 5.5-inch full-HD (1080x1920p) Super AMOLED display and is powered by a 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 oct-core processor along with 2GB RAM.
Internal storage includes 16GB which can be expanded by up to 64GB via microSD card.
It runs Android 4.4 KitKat with Samsung's TouchWiz UI skin on top.
The handset sports a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front-facing camera for selfies.
Connectivity options include 3G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, NFC and GPS. It's powered by a 2600mAh battery.
The launch comes a month after Samsung announced the Galaxy A3, A5, E5, and E7 smartphones in India.
