New Delhi, May 2: France-based auto major Renault on Wednesday reported a 10-fold increase in sales at 6,314 units in April this year.
The company had sold 615 units in the same month of 2012, Renault India said in a statement.
Last month, the company sold 5,362 units of its highly popular SUV Duster, 545 units of mid-size sedan Scala, 358 units of hatchback Pulse, 39 units of premium luxury sedan Fluence and 10 units of premium SUV Koleos, it said.
"With a complete range of products and an extensive dealership presence, Renault India has seen both continued growth as well as recognition for our product quality, reliability and efficiency," Renault India Executive Director (Marketing and Sales) Sumit Sawhney said.
Renault India, along with Japanese auto major Nissan, has set up a manufacturing facility at Oragadam, near Chennai with a total capacity of producing 4 lakh units a year. The company has over 100 outlets across the country, the release added.
